Two (2) Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989) drypoint etchings on paper titled “El Cid” from 1968 The Five Spanish Immortals Series, Plate 94. Depicts an equestrian portrait of Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar (c._1043-1099) a Castilian nobleman and military leader in medieval Spain, in full armor. Both Signed “Dali” top left in the plate. One (1) with The Collector’s Guild Ltd., New York, NY authentication label and one (1) with a Howard Mann Art Center, Lambertville, NJ label en verso. Both housed under glass, one (1) housed in a wooden frame with gilt metal trim, one (1) matted in a silver metal frame. Plates – 6 3/4″ H x 4 7/8″ W. Both frames approximately 15″ H x 12 1/4″ W. Third quarter 20th century. Provenance: The Estate of Mrs. Frank Wood, Evansville, Indiana and Dickson, Tennessee. CONDITION: Overall good condition with toning. Not examined outside of frames.
