Group of five (5) American and European polychrome painted toleware items, including one (1) centerpiece bowl or basket with stencilled foliate decorations to exterior on a footed base; one (1) oval basket with central freehand foliate decoration; two (2) rectangular form storage boxes with hinged lids, one (1) with stencilled foliate decorations to lid with top handle and body, one (1) with stencilled lettering reading "FRIENDSHIP" surrounded by foliate decorations to lid; and one (1) cylindrical form tea caddy with a hinged lid with top handle and freehand foliate decorations to body. Ranging in size from 1 1/2" H x 11" W to 6 1/2" H x 10" W x 6 1/8" D. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Patricia Kiegel, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with wear to be expected from age, dents, oxidation to metal, craquelure, losses to paint, largest 8". Two storage boxes with latches for padlocks to lids, one box with a missing latch.
