East Tennessee, likely Knox County, cotton and muslin pieced quilt, Tree of LIfe pattern, comprised of 12 panels using bright multi-colored fabric. Quilt backing consisting of flour sacks with stamps reading "One of J. Allen Smith's flours, tested every hour". 67" x 75". 1st half 20th century. Note: J. Allen Smith & Company flour mill was established around 1886 and is most famous for it's production of White Lily brand flour. Condition: Some scattered stains, otherwise overall good condition.
