Arthur Fillon (French, 1900-1974) large oil on canvas Impressionistic Parisian street scene painting entitled Quai Du Louvre, depicting a view overlooking a courtyard with the Pont Neuf bridge crossing the Seine and Ile-de-France visible in the background. Signed lower right. With Wally Findlay Galleries, New York, sticker affixed to backing. Housed in an ornate giltwood frame with textile mat, gilt fillet, and nameplate. Sight: 25" H x 32" W. H. Frame: 33" H x 40" W. Biographical Note: Arthur Fillon was born in Loiret, France, and studied at the Beaux-Arts in Marseille and Paris. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Independants in 1924 (Source: askART).
