Large Chinese blue and white porcelain vase, Rouleau form, with vignette decoration including landscapes with birds, foo dogs, and various auspicious symbols. Base marked with double concentric circles. 17 1/2" H. Circa 1900. Provenance: Descended from the collection of Thomas and Pamela Woodley of Long Island, NY and FL. Mr. Woodley was an electrical engineer who traveled worldwide over a period of approximately 20 years. Areas of collecting interest included Asian and Far Eastern decorative items. The last two photos of this lot have Orlando Sentinel newspaper articles from the early 1960s featuring the Woodley collection. Condition: Overall very good condition.
