Four (4) Asian porcelain snuff bottles with polychrome decoration including, one (1) Chinese Famille Verte flattened ovoid form bottle with decoration of a man with sword standing outside a window, looking at a woman braiding her hair inside; on the other side, a man with horse watches from beyond a screen; one (1) cylindrical form bottle with rooster and hen decoration; one (1) cylindrical form bottle with decoration of blind man stumbling among objects, and one (1) flattened bottle form with cat decoration to one side and bird and floral decoration with red seal mark to the other. Ranging in size from 2 1/4" H x 1 1/2" W x 1/4" D to 3 1/8" H x 1 1/4" Dia. Late 19th-mid 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Three bottles without stoppers, cylindrical bottles with scattered firing flaws. Otherwise all in very good condition.
