Large Japanese bronze jardiniere, lobed globular form with elephant or foo lion head mounts, three-dimensional panels depicting animals and gardens, and chased foliate design throughout resting on a round, stepped platform base. 16 1/2" H x 24" dia. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with very light wear. This piece weighs approximately 100 pounds. Bronze surface appears to have been over cleaned – very minimal traces of an older bronze patina
