Southern School wax figure of an African American man picking cotton, with waxed sealed clothing, carrying a mesh bag holding cotton and green paper leaves. 5-3/4" H figure plus 7/8" H x 3" sq base. Southern, possibly Vargas Family of New Orleans, late 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: Property of a private Kansas collection. Condition: Very good condition with general surface grime and possible loss of some fingers.
