Early Warren County, Kentucky cherry corner cupboard, one-piece construction, poplar secondary. Cavetto molded cornice and canted sides with reeded panels, flanking two paneled upper doors enclosing four shelves, above one central dovetailed drawer flanked by panels with incised fylfot or pinwheel decoration, two lower paneled doors, and bracket feet. 85 1/2" H x 48 1/2" W x 24 3/4" D. Circa 1800-1810. Originally purchased in 1995, Bud Greenup Auction of the estate of Loraine "Cricket" Dunn. A copy of that auction catalog is available to the winning bidder.
PROVENANCE: Mark Anthony Grant Estate, Clarksville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Refinished surface with replaced hinges. Interior of drawers have been painted or stained. 1 1/2" left front facing replaced on left foot. 1/2" strip replacement to outside edge of right lower door stile.
