Large Tennessee Jack Daniels whiskey or liquor stoneware pottery jug with two cobalt stencils reading JACK DANIEL’S OLD NO. 7. LYNCHBURG, – – TENN. and above UHL POTTERY WORKS/3/EVANSVILLE: INDIANA within a cobalt cartouche, “3” denoting gallon capacity. Approx. 16″ H. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Richard H. and Kathleen L. Hulan.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with a few spider hairlines visible on the underside of the base and three of these hairlines extending on the lower walls of the jug. All hairlines appear stable.
