Walnut sugar table attributed to Wythe County, Virginia, poplar secondary. Simple molded hinged square top over a plain square case with two interior dividers. Delicate ring turned and tapered legs are extensions of stiles. Retains the original lock. 27 3/4" H x 18 1/2" W x 16 7/8" D. Circa 1825.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Older surface. Top with staining and wear and wood shrinkage with left side strip edge replaced on top.
