Manner of Giuseppe Gambogi (Italian, 1862- 1938) classical revival marble sculpture depicting a goddess or maiden with incised and parcel-gilt crown, vest, and belt, holding the edge of her garment in one hand and an urn in the other, standing upon a columnar plinth. Illegible pencil signature in pencil and "No. 100" to underside. 27" H x 10 1/2" W x 9" D. Likely French or Italian, late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Base and plinth with separations, marble flaw to right arm, and small chip to nose.
