Antique Caucasian Shirvan runner, wool on wool, the center with repeating medallion decoration together with figures on horseback and additional horses on a dark blue ground, within a wide geometric border. Signed on the lower center section. Woven in colors of gold, rust/red, blue, and cream. 3 ft. 6 in. x 9 ft. 7 in. Circa 1900.
PROVENANCE: Private Southern Collection, ex-Bonhams.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Some losses to pile near the center, and some knot show through. Losses to fringed ends.
