Includes one (1) Tiffany sterling silver trinket box with repousse decoration, 5 1/2"L, with presentation engraved inscription to underside for the birth of Dorothy Snowden (Feb. 22, 1937) from her grandmother; one (1) Sterling Swan ring or pin holder with Gorham and Durgin marks, 4"L. no monogram; one (1) French first standard (.950) small pierced ladle or sugar sifter, elaborate Neoclassical design to the bowl, with Minerva quality mark and mark for maker J. Granvigne, 8"L no monogram; one (1) Sterling Souvenir spoon from the St. Louis World Fair / Louisiana Purchase Exhibition Palace of Art 1904, retailed Mermod Jaccard, no monogram; one (1) small Alvin sterling sardine fork; and one (1) small Gorham sterling salt spoon, monogrammed for Annie Brinkley Snowden (1845-1923). Combined weight: 10.4 oz troy. Note: these items descended in the Snowden family of Annesdale Mansion, Memphis, which was given to Annie Brinkley Snowden as a gift upon her marriage to Col. Robert Bogardus Snowden circa 1868 by her father. The home remained in the family for over a century before becoming a public event venue and recently being sold into private hands. Several other items and portraits from the Snowden family are also being sold in this auction.
CONDITION: Wear to the gilding on the small French ladle. Salt spoons has significant pitting and wear. Other items excellent condition.
