Pair of two (2) bronze figural candelabras after Michel Claude Clodion, one depicting a faun and the other depicting a putto, each grasping naturalistic branches that form four foliate candle arms, topped with molded bobeches having grape and vine decoration and topped with candle sleeves. Each sculpture is mounted to a fluted columnar pedestal with draped garland and a laurel leaf border placed on a stepped-platform ebonized base. 27" H x 11 1/2" H x 9 1/2" D. French, Late 19th Century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Glue repair to the inside of one bobeche. Expected light oxidation and patination throughout cohesive with age. Scattered wear and losses to base, fitted for electricity with recently restored wiring, not tested for functionality.
