Middle Tennessee beaten biscuit table or biscuit board, cherry primary, pine secondary with a marble insert. Triple ogee molded hinged top with nailed construction opening to reveal an inset marble top above one large drawer and square slightly tapered legs. Nailed and pegged construction throughout. 36" H x 24" W x 24 1/8" D. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection; acquired from the estate of Jim Leeson of Williamson County.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with expected use wear, scattered abrasions. Top with wood shrinkage to one side and one loose hinge. Partial replacement to drawer underside.
