English George III Robert Adam style looking glass or mirror, with delicate carved giltwood and wire gesso frame. The oval-shaped central glass has a beaded inner molding and is embellished with scrolling foliate swags, bell flowers, and husk motifs, and is surmounted by a flowering urn at the crest. Small gilt bracket style candle shelf at each side. 48" H x 59 1/4" W. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with some wear commensurate with age including separations and scattered losses to the giltwood frame. Some old repaired breaks.
