East Tennessee walnut blanket chest, possibly Knox County, walnut primary, yellow pine secondary. Consisting of a molded top with breadboard ends, interior with till, exposed dovetailed case and curved bracket feet, carved drop to the base center. 23" H x 44" W x 20" D. Circa 1820.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Thomas Wellington Patton, Knoxville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Older refinish, surface with scattered general wear and abrasions, rear left back facing is a later replacement.
