Tennessee coin silver sugar shell with olive variant pattern handle and fluted bowl, marked J. Campbell in rectangle on back of handle (attributed to John Campbell (1803-1875). "Tennessee Silversmiths" by Dr. Benjamin H. Caldwell, Jr. lists Campbell working in Fayetteville, NC from 1818-1836 and in Nashville from 1836 to about 1857). 6-3/4"L. 1.445 oz troy. Provenance: A Nashville, Tennessee collection, found in Nashville. Condition: Mark worn, light wear to decoration at back of bowl, light scratching, one minute dent to handle.
