Chinese carved hardwood stand, the top having a scalloped edge fitted with its original 5-petal shaped marble above a highly carved frieze and four curved legs with mask knees and paw feet, joined at the center with a round shelf. 32" H x 22" dia. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. The marble top with hairline cracks and some minute losses at fissures. One leg with a crack near shelf joint that does not extend through (stabile), another leg with smaller crack near the same area. Base with expected general wear and minor age-related shrinkage to some of the joints.
