Copper plate engraving depicting the parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Carolina, and Georgia primarily along the Atlantic Coast, from the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays to the mouth of the St. John River, depicting states, cities, towns, roads, rivers, bodies of water, mountain ranges, and other points of interest including churches with denominations in French text. Title, advertisement, and other information, top left and center left of map. Nautical chart lines and compass rose, right side of map. Map surrounded by scale notations and line border. Float mounted under glass in a wooden frame. Map – 22 1/2" H x 33 1/2" W. Plate – 22 3/4" H x 34" W. Sheet – 26 1/4" H x 36" W. Framed – 34 1/4" H x 42 5/8" W. Late 18th century. CONDITION: Overall good condition with toning, foxing spots, tape residue, top left corner, tears, largest 3 1/4" x 3", along right edge of map. Not examined outside of frame.
