East Tennessee black and white coverlet made by Maryville Woolen Mills Company. The corners feature eagles with shields flanked by “M.W.M. Tenn.”. The center panel features a central circular foliate medallion flanked by stylized scrolling foliate borders. The wide border with birds, potted flowers, foliage, and dogs carrying flags. 72 3/4 in. x 79 in. Note: Maryville Woolen Mills operated in Blount County, TN, from approximately 1874 to 1906.

CONDITION:
Losses to fringe on each end. Scattered thread pulls and some rust staining to one side.
