4 silver novelties. 1st item: Continental oval snuff box, the top with chased cherub in landscape decoration over inset stained horn, sides chased in a foliate scroll design. Unidentified hallmarks to base, likely Hanau, circa 1800. 2" W. 2nd item: Oval snuff box with shell design on one side and lobed engraved design to other. Unmarked; likely Old Sheffield plate, English, circa 1800. 2 1/2" W. 3rd item: George III sterling silver patch or pill box, the lid modeled as a clock with single moveable hand. Marks for Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham, England, 1799. 1 1/4" diam. 4th item: Scottish Celtic tea caddy spoon, marks for Jewellry [sic] and Metal Mfg. Co., Dublin, 1973. 2 3/4" L. Provenance: The estate of Dr. Benjamin H. Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: Some polish residue remnants on first snuff box, otherwise all items in very good condition.
