Assembled group of ten (10) American and English occupational shaving mugs. 1st item: Painter's palette shaving mug with the gilt name W. Bauer and T & V France green maker's mark. 2nd item: Mason's shaving mug with the gilt name Ben Storle and numbered 1146 on the base. 3rd item: Fraternal Order of Eagles shaving mug with the gilt name John Hartle and numbered 813 on the base (chip and repaired break to the base). 4th item: Horse drawn trolley driver shaving mug numbered 1209 on the base. 5th item: Lamp lighter occupational mug, unmarked. 6th item: Touring Automobile shaving mug marked on the base W/Austria and numbered 4756. 7th item: Grocer shaving mug with the gilt name W. E. Long and marked on the base O. & E. G. Royal Austria on the base. 8th item: Machinest with lathe shaving mug with gilt name Craig Rogers and numbered 107.9. 9th item: Tea distributor shaving mug with the gilt name F. C. Withington and obliterated maker's mark on the base. 10th item: Butcher's shaving mug numbered 1668 on the base. Ranging in size from 3 3/8" H to 4" H. All Late 19th/Early 20th century. Note: Lot also includes a vintage Erskine shaving brush with natural animal hair bristles. Provenance: The collection of internationally known ragtime pianist and historian Johnny Maddox, Gallatin, TN. CONDITION: All with general wear and losses to gilt decoration. 3rd item: Chip and repaired break to the base.
