C. Robbins Percussion derringer, .40 Caliber. Breech plug marked, "DERINGER". Lock plate marked, "C. ROBBINS". Walnut stocks with checkered grip, iron frame with nickel silver fore-end cap, escutcheons, and oval plaque on back strap. Octagonal barrel, low fixed sights. Hammer, lock plate, trigger guard, and breech plug engraved with foliate designs. Includes ramrod, possibly a replacement. Barrel length – 4 5/8". Overall length – 8 1/2". American, mid 19th century. CONDITION: Action is good. 1" crack from the left escutcheon to the back of the fore-end cap.
