Mid-Century Knoll Industries Parallel Bar System armless loveseat sofa or settee, designed by Florence Knoll Bassett circa 1955, manufactured 1970s. Comprised of a tufted two cushion yellow or citrine woven upholstered top on a chrome and black finished steel base with four (4) legs. Underside frame with label for “Knoll Associates 320 Park Avenue New York, NY 100022″ with Knoll Industries trademark and white paper Knoll Industries label. 31 1/4″ H x 56″ W x 28 1/2” D. Provenance: The Guardsmark Collection, Lipman Holdings International, Memphis, Tennessee. Note: Guardsmark, a private security firm, was founded in 1963. The company’s headquarters in downtown Memphis was noted for its collection of original Knoll office furniture.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with light general use wear, some light grime from storage. Front left seat cushion corner slightly indented.
