American coin silver footed oval medallion centerpiece or fruit bowl by Wood & Hughes (working New York City 1845-1899). Oval bowl raised on a stepped oval pedestal base with scrolling beaded handles terminating into figural swans, a patterned rim with two mask medallions depicting Neptune, and the bowl center with bas relief stippled Classical medallion depicting a seated diety being crowned by a maiden with a kneeling man and winged cherub at his feet, signed "H. Rupert, Fec." Script monogram. Base marked "W & H 900/1000". 7 1/4" H x 14 3/4" W x 9 3/4" W. 29.510 troy ounces.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Minor bending to one edge of the base, interior with very light surface scratching. Script monogram.
