East Tennessee, Knoxville, whiskey or liquor advertising stoneware pottery jug with cobalt-stenciled letters reading “Dan & Pat’s Saloon/DAN DEWINE, prop./ 124 South Central Street”. 10 1/2 in. H. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Note: This jug was discovered during the demolition of a farmhouse in Concord, Tennessee, c. 1980. A copy of a 1982 Knoxville News Sentinel column that describes the discovery is available to the winner bidder.
CONDITION: Minor chips and glaze imperfections, overall good condition.
