Beggs & Smith (Joseph P. Beggs and Harry R. Smith, working Cincinnati, OH, 1848-1861) coin silver teapot, round form having lobed body decorated in repousse floral designs with center cartouche and monogram to one side, acanthus leaf spout, hinged top with finial and repousee floral designs, hinged curved handle with ivory insulators and four pierced cartouche feet. Beggs & Smith stamp to the base. 11 3/8" H x 10" W. Circa 1850. CONDITION: Scattered minor pitting to body, dent to one cartouche. Minor scratching to surface. Original base missing.
