Two (2) English George III square form inlaid tea caddies, including one (1) Sheraton harewood caddy with vine and mahogany oval inlays and interior lid with pull handle, informational label affixed to interior of lid (4 7/8" H x 4 1/2" W x 4" D); and one (1) mahogany foil-lined caddy with brass loop pull to lid, paterae to lid and front body, trees to sides, diamond to back, and interior lid with brass pull (5" H x 4 1/4" square). Both items first quarter 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Tina McWhorter Trust; from the collection of John and Tina McWhorter, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Both items with minor scattered age splits and wear to veneer. Sheraton caddy with uneven patina and previous repair to one hinge. Foil-lined caddy with loss to interior of lid measuring 1/8" x 3/4"; newer relining; minor warping to interior lid.
