Two (2) Chinese polychrome porcelain figures, including one (1) standing Gandhara-style Buddha with stylized blue hair holding a lotus with a Buddhist symbol for peace centered on his chest, and one (1) standing Guanyin, holding a lotus. Both attired in heavily patterned and hand-painted gilt robes and standing on a pink lotus base inscribed "China" and stamped with character marks to underside. Ranging in size from 9" H x 4" W x 2 1/4" D to 9 1/2" H x 4" W x 2 1/2" D. Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Gerry Sadow, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Guanyin with one chip to lotus base on right side and to lotus in her hand. Otherwise in very good condition.
