19th century signed Russian Icon, tempera and gilt on board, depicting Christ standing with a cross and Moses standing with a sceptre and the Ten Commandments with a white dove in between. Both are standing above clouds and angels and framed by gilt and black borders. Cyrillic inscriptions upper corners and lower center margin. Dated 1871 in lower central margin and signed lower right. 10 7/8" H x 7 7/8" W. Provenance: Former collection of Senator Howard Baker of TN. Condition: Overall light craquelure.
