Giuseppe Carnevale (Italian, 19th century) white marble bust of boy in Rococo style clothing and feather plumed hat. Signed "G. Carnevale" on lower back. 26 3/4" H x 15 1/2" W. 3rd quarter of the 19th century. Biography: Giuseppe Carnevalewas born at Castelnuovo Scrivia, Italy and had works exhibited between 1877 and 1889 throughout Italy and England. Carevale exhibited at the Royal Academy of London in 1889 (courtesy E. Benezit, Grund). Condition – Overall very good condition,has some residual concrete on base from being previously supported. De-accessioned by the Knoxville Museum of Art, Knoxville, TN to benefit the acquisition fund.
