Pair of French Neoclassical style parcel gilt lamps, consisting of circular gilt bronze columns decorated with raised Classical figures, atop female busts and round gilt bronze pedestals atop black patinated reeded plinths. Originally gas lamps, now converted. "F. Barbediene Fondeur" impressed on back of busts along with the foundry stamp. Bases: 21" H. 32 1/4" total H. Late 19th century.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with expected use wear. Abrasion to chest of one bust. These were originally gas lamps and retain the original gas fittings. They have been converted to electric and are functioning at time of inspection.
