Two Western North Carolina (Lincoln County) alkaline-glazed stoneware pottery pieces, stamped JCM, maker unknown, but attributed to the Daniel Seagle School, including a 1-gallon canning jar and 1/2 gallon jug. 10 1/2 in. H and 10 in. H. Both mid-19th century.
CONDITION: Canning jar with firing imperfections and blistering to the glaze, otherwise overall good condition, with no chipping or cracks. The jug with chips to the outside and inside rim, otherwise overall good condition.
