Royal Vienna hand painted porcelain cabinet plate, depicting a young woman plucking fruit from a tree. Signed "Wagner" lower right. Robin's egg blue border with gold encrusted Classical themed vignettes, outlined in pate sur pate beading. Blue underglaze beehive mark en verso plus "Germany" and the word, "Geschmack," which translates as "Taste," possibly the title of the plate. 9 5/8" dia. German, circa 1900. Property of the Hunter Museum of Art, being sold to benefit future acquisitions. CONDITION: Overall very good condition.
