Large Greco-Roman Classical style silverplated urn or floor vase, ovolo rims ovr a central frieze with Bacchanalian figures over a grapevine band, tapering to a round, laurel leaf decorated vase. Two tall handles with rosette centers. Illegibly marked on underside –COLON MONTE– in rectangle (possibly Fazar Colon Montevideo) with two small additional illegible hallmarks. 27 3/4" H. Continental or South American, mid to late 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Celia (Cece) Webb, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: One handle has a slight dent. Some edge wear to base. Overall very good condition.
