Set of four (4) matching Continental Rococo style gilt girandole mirrors with C-scroll and foliate decoration throughout, each having a pierced crest with molded shell and rosette motifs, wing form decorations to each side, and base with two protruding candle arms topped with blooming flower bobeches. Each 38" H x 23" W x 5 1/2" D. All late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of the late Fount and Ida Smothers, Thompson's Station, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Significant loss to wing of one mirror. Each with scattered minor losses to carving and gilding. Candle arms are likely added later. One mirror with replaced glass.
