French Louis XV Style bombe chest or commode consisting of a variegated breche d'alep marble top above two rosewood parquetry drawers with herrinbone inlay design, shaped skirt and cabriole legs. Rococo ormolu bronze mounted stiles, skirt, feet, handles, and escutcheons. 32" H x 36 1/2" W x 20" D. French, late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Some scattered wood shrinkage, one wooden slat to underside of the top missing.
