1st item: Chinese earthenware tomb figure modeled as a duck. 5 3/4" H x 8 3/8" W x 4 3/8" D. Museum documentation states Han period. 2nd item: Chinese terracotta horse head depicted with teeth bared, mounted to a hardwood stand. 8 3/4" H x 8" W x 2 5/8" D. Museum documentation states Tang period.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Both items with surface wear and discoloration commensurate with age. 1st item: Old repair to neck and upper wing. 2nd item: Scattered hairlines and losses to glaze.
