Two (2) 19th c. Paint Decorated U.S. Patent Models. 1st Item: Washing Machine, patented August 7, 1858; Patent number 21,216 by D. C. Rood of Altona, Illinois.  12 1/2 in L x 11 in W x 9 in. H. With original patent tag. 2nd Item:  Washing Machine, patented November 16, 1869; Patent number 96,877 by D. C. Rood of Altona, Illinois. by Charles B. Bristol. Records show that Bristol held multiple patents for items including a Nut Wrench, 1855.  6 1/2 in H x 9 1/2 in W. Original models of metal and wood construction, original finish. Accompanied by copies of original patent office drawings and application descriptions.

Washing Machine with torn fabric on wash drum.
