American School, late 19th century oil on canvas still life painting depicting a spilt basket of harvested peaches, framed by green peach tree leaves and branches. Unsigned. Housed in a period giltwood frame, possibly repainted. Sight – 18" H x 24" W. Framed – 38 1/4" H x 34 1/8" W. Provenance: The University Club of Nashville, TN; purchased from Antique Attractions, Erie, PA; purchased from the Erie, Pennsylvania estate of Todd Czerwinski. CONDITION: Light craquelure and stretcher marks. Three to four minor paint chip in background area. Repainted circa 1890s period frame.
