Seven (7) clear cut glass bottles with silver tops, including one (1) Whiting sterling silver lidded cylindrical, cane-cut perfume flask, stamped to lid with Whiting hallmark, STERLING, pattern number and date, 101, and 925/1000 FINE; one (1) Meriden sterling silver cased cologne bottle with pierced sterling covering plain glass with sterling cased glass stopper, stamped to underside with Meriden hallmark, STERLING, and 81; one (1) English Victorian sterling silver lidded oblong, cane-cut scent bottle, stamped to lid with hallmarks for GB, London, Sterling, and 1883; pair (2) large Spanish silver lidded notched and hobstar-cut perfume bottles with secondary glass stopper, stamped with illegible hallmark and mark for Spain .915 purity; one (1) Baccarat-style silver hinge-lidded square, swirl-cut inkwell with repousse foliate lid; and one (1) brass hinge-lidded cane-cut scent bottle, horn or talon form with secondary glass stopper. Heights ranging from 5 1/2" H 9 3/4" H. Diameters/widths ranging from 1 3/8" dia. to 3 5/8" square. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Some pieces monogrammed. Minute scattered fleabites to exterior and residue to interior of bottles. Meriden stopper with minor chips to underside.
