Four (4) Mughal or Persian gouache illuminated miniature paintings, 19th or 20th century. 1st-2nd items: Two paintings on paper and signed Ali Civil. One depicting seven figures before a building and a second depicting nine figures in an enclosed space topped with a dome, likely a mosque. Both with ornate decorative patterns throughout and signed "Ali Civil," lower center. Each with foliate borders. Both housed under plexiglass in silvered wooden frames with ivory textile mats. Sight: 9 1/2" H x 6 1/4" W. Framed: 19" H x 15" W. 3rd-4th items: Two paintings on silk, one depicting an elaborately dressed hunter or warrior with bow and spear and a second depicting an aged farmer or goatherd accompanied by four goats. Each with gold painted foliate borders. Both housed under plexiglass in matching giltwood frames. Sight: 11" H x 8 1/4" W. Framed: 12 1/2" H x 9 1/2" W.
