Pair Neapolitan School gouaches on paper, laid down on board, one a view of the harbor of Naples with Mt. Vesuvius in the background titled "Napoli Da Mare" and the other depicting an Italian seaside park titled "Villa Reale". Both housed in the original tiger maple veneer frames with the original British frame maker label reading "E. J. Matthews, Carver & Gilder, Bury St. Edmunds". 1st painting: Sight: 6 7/8" H x 10" W. Frame: 10 1/4" H x 13 1/4" W. 2nd painting: Sight: 8 1/8" H x 11 1/8" W. Frame: 11" H x 14" W. Late 19th century. Condition: 1st painting: Toning evident to perimeter of painting.
