East Tennessee cherry corner cupboard, poplar secondary. Two-piece form, the upper section with a cove-molded cornice and a plain frieze over sixteen glazed panel doors opening to four interior shelves. Lower section with medial molding above two paneled doors opening to one interior shelf. Cupboard rests on French feet with an elaborate, shaped skirt. 90 in. H x 54 in. W x 23 in. D. Possibly Sullivan Co., circa 1820.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Marty and David Black, Rockford, TN.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with an older refinished surface. The glazed door brass pull is not original. Repaired break to the left side of the medial molding.
