1st item: Burlwood sewing box with classical mythological scene of Diana and putti painted to interior of lid; removable tray with various compartments, some with star inlaid lids, one inlaid hinged needle cushion, and one thread spool holder; tray lifts to reveal secondary bisected tray that conceals four drawers with thread pulls. 4" H x 13 1/2" W x 10" D. 2nd item: Ladies mahogany or rosewood toiletry or dresser box with mother or pearl shield inlays, opens to blue velvet-lined, partitioned interior containing two glass perfume bottles with stoppers and one removable tray with various compartments having velvet lids or silver lidded glass containers; additional concealed drawer beneath. 6 3/4" H x 11 7/8" W x 9 7/8" D. Continental or English, late 19th century.

CONDITION: 1st item: Scattered minor wear and shinkage to veneer and tray inserts. Scattered regluing to partitions of trays. 2nd item: Minor scattered surface wear.
