East Tennessee, Greene County, Federal period chest of drawers, walnut primary and yellow pine secondary. Rectangular top over two half drawers above three full-length graduated drawers, all dovetailed, with scratch beading and fitted with oval eagle brasses, all over a shaped skirt and French feet. 41 3/8 in. H x 41 in. W x 18 1/8 in. D. Circa 1810.
CONDITION:
Older refinish, retains the original feet and blocking, brasses are old but not original, one lock still present, wood shrinkage and some staining to the top, losses to the top right drawer where the lock was present, patch to the lower left bottom drawer and the right side of the third drawer. Some of the drawers with slight build-up to lower drawer sides.
