Thomas Fogarty, Jr., "Seated Model", oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right, "Fogarty '70". Sight: 15-1/2" H x 11-5/8" W. Silver metal frame: 16-1/8" H x 12-1/4" W. Signed on reverse: "To Lanny Ross with great affection, Tom Fogarty-1970". Also included with painting is the program from the exhibition in which this painting was included. The program is hand-inscribed, possibly by Mr. Ross. Tom Fogarty, Jr. was a painter and art teacher who taught at the Art Students League in Manhattan for many years. He exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art and many New York galleries. He was the son of well-known illustrator, Thomas Fogarty. Provenance: Descendants of the estate of Lanny Ross, New York, NY. Condition: Very good condition. Minor scratches to metal frame.
