Group of three East Tennessee splint oak gathering baskets. 1st item – Very large East Tennessee splint oak gathering basket, rectangular form with carved fixed handle. overall excellent condition with very slight losses to center bottom, expected wear. 18" H x 28" W x 18 3/4" D. Late 19th/ early 20th century. 2nd item – East Tennessee splint oak gathering basket, square form with carved fixed handle. Nails used to secure rim. Some losses to weavers in bottom and outer rim. Traces of paint. 12 3/4" H x 15 1/2" W x 15 1/2" D. 20th century. 3rd item – East Tennessee splint oak gathering basket, rectangular form with carved fixed handle. Nice old patina with slight losses to one weaver in bottom and one area of rim. 12 1/2" H x 15 1/2" W x 11" D. 20th century.
